HealthSouth Corp. and West Tennessee Healthcare are partnering to own, operate and construct a new 48-bed rehabilitation hospital in Jackson, Tenn. Construction of the hospital has to be approved by the state, but in the meantime, HealthSouth (NYSE: HLS) will take control of the inpatient rehabilitation unit within Jackson-Madison County General Hospital starting July 1 until the new hospital is complete.
