Electrolux plans job cuts to restore U.S. earnings

Electrolux is cutting about 120 jobs from its North American operations as the Swedish appliance maker works to restore its earnings in this country. While an Electrolux statement estimates the cuts amount to less than 1 percent of Electrolux's 12,000-employee work force in North America, some jobs in Charlotte, where Electrolux employs 925 people at its North American major appliances unit, would be affected. A company spokeswoman wouldn’t say exactly how many jobs in Charlotte are being eliminated.…
