Wells Fargo: Small businesses not ready for chip-enabled credit and debit cards

Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE: WFC) has found that small-business owners don’t know they need to support EMV chip card technology by Oct. 1. The latest Wells Fargo/Gallup Small Business Index conducted last month found that just 49 percent of small-business owners that accept credit and debit cards are aware of the deadline.
