Why Sprouts Farmers Market replaced its CEO and saw its stock fall hard last week

There is something happening at Sprouts Farmers Market (Nasdaq: SFM) corporate headquarters in Phoenix. Something enough to make it a challenge to get answers about the executive turnover and stock price plunge that hit last week after earning were reported. Karen Short, Sprouts analyst for Deutsche Bank, said the company is a victim of its own success. Deflationary produce pricing created a more aggressive promotion environment, said Short.
