Amazon is gunning for Etsy. For the merchants who sell on Etsy’s online marketplace, to be exact. The Wall Street Journal reports that Seattle giant Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) has sent invitations to Etsy (Nasdaq: ETSY) sellers, inviting them to participate in a test run of Amazon’s newest marketplace. The new online store will be called Handmade, according to the invites. The marketplace has not yet been unveiled but it seems to be similar to Amazon Exclusives, which was launched in March.
