Dollar General names new CEO

Goodlettsville-based retail giant Dollar General Corp. has named its new CEO. According to a news release from the company(NYSE: DG), Todd Vasos, currently Dollar General's COO, will take the helm effective June 3. Vasos replaces Rick Dreiling, who has served as CEO since January 2008. He had previously announced retirement plans, though they became somewhat fluid as the company pursued its unsuccessful bid to buy Family Dollar.
