Electrolux deal could bring uncertainty for GE's union workers

Fairfield, Conn.-based General Electric Co. (NYSE: GE) is in the midst of negotiating new labor agreements with its unions. According to a fact sheet from the company, the company is seeking a national labor agreement to replace one that expires on June 21. GE has 16,500 employees represented by 11 unions nationwide. In Louisville, unionized workers at Appliance Park are represented by the International Union of Electronic, Electrical, Salaried, Machine and Furniture Workers-Communications Workers…
