Papa John's is spending $100 million a year to remove artificial ingredients, other additives from its menu

Papa John's International Inc. plans to ban 14 ingredients, including corn syrup, artificial colors and various preservatives, from its menu by the end of 2016. The company already removed MSG (monosodium glutamate) from its ranch dressing last year and got rid of trans fats in its garlic sauce. The ingredients on the "banned" list are mostly in the chain's dipping sauces and other items like chicken poppers, Bloomberg reports.
