Cardinals fire scouting director

The St. Louis Cardinals fired the team’s scouting director last week, a lawyer for Cardinals owner Bill DeWitt Jr. confirmed. Jim Martin of Dowd Bennett said Chris Correa was fired after an “imposed leave of absence.” Martin said no other Cardinals employees were subject to an imposed leave of absence.
