Study: We may be out of shape, but our wallet is healthy

Tennessee may consistently rank as one of the nation’s unhealthiest states, but at least the state government has its financials in shape. That’s according to a new study from the Mercatus Center at George Mason University, which ranked Tennessee No. 8 among U.S. states for its fiscal health.
