Uber buys Microsoft's Bing map business

Approximately 100 Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) engineers are now Uber engineers. The San Francisco transportation app maker has bought Microsoft's Bing image acquisition mapping business and will take on the employees working on that system, according to TechCrunch. That group takes street-side and aerial images, and processes them for use in the maps.
