American Airlines (Nasdaq: AAL) and its aggressive CEO Doug Parker look to be making a major play in the hotly-contested monthly on-time arrivals competition even as Southwest Airlines (NYSE: LUV) is fading — perhaps done in by its expanded summer flight schedule.
