Regions posts $269M profit, boosts revenue and lending

Regions Financial Corp. posted a $269 million profit for the second quarter. That was up from $218 million in the first quarter, but lower than the $288 million profit Birmingham's only Fortune 500 company posted in the second quarter of 2014. Regions' profit was in line with analyst expectations, and the financial company exceeded expectations for revenue growth.
